Scarlett's Case — Possess & Traffic Marijuana — Police Report Client: Scarlett B., Accused Police Report: On Wednesday, March 7th, 2001, uniform police officers were set up in an unmarked vehicle in the area of Puff Drive and Chopper Street in the city of Toronto for the purpose of making observations with respect to complaints of a high rate of drug trafficking which has been taking place in the area. While set up, the officer's observed the male accused before the Court, Hayden H., in the company of the female accused before the Court, Scarlett B., approach the area of Puff Drive North and Chopper Street. The male approached a third male and the two exchanged words. The third male then removed a quantity of money from his pocket and passed it to Hayden H. Hayden H., in return, gave the accused a quantity of marijuana and some change back. While this was happening, the female stood back approximately 2 feet and looked about the area, appearing to be keeping watch. The two accuseds then walked off in one direction and the third party walked in the opposite direction. Police moved in and apprehended all accused persons. The male was searched on the scene at which time officers located 6 small clear baggies containing a quantity of marijuana and a quantity of cash. The female was also searched at the scene and 6 additional clear plastic baggies were located, each containing a quantity of marijuana. A quantity of cash was also found. The money from each accused was seized as evidence. Both parties were transported to 52 Station for processing. Weight of Drugs — Scarlett B.: 1.94 grams |
